Dans cette galerie de portraits, les personnages sont mis en scène chez eux lors de diverses activités familières. Les images révèlent des instants intimes, précieux et délicats, qui au-delà de leur simplicité, témoignent d’une réalité quotidienne. Le point de vue depuis le plafond ou le ciel, vient rompre cette banalité en représentant de manière picturale ces fragments d’humanité. Recréant un univers visuel inconnu ; réorganisant les proportions, écrasant toute notion de perspective et de profondeur de champ, si propre à la photographie, cette vision fait perdre à l’œil du spectateur ses repères de lecture habituels. Le personnage vient s’inscrire dans cet espace défini. Elément primordial d’une mise en scène qu’il finit par inventer, cette confrontation entre quotidien banal et esthétique stricte agit sur lui comme un révélateur de sentiments. C’est à travers ses sentiments et émotions infiniment humaines et romantiques que le sujet donne son intérêt à l’image : exprimer les tourments du cœur et de l’âme, les « vertiges du quotidien » enfouis sous une apparence de banalité et d’habitude.
