Crossing the island continent from east to west, from the Outback to the skyscrapers.

I crossed Western America with its roads, its myths, its brightly lit cities and all the fantasies within the collective subconscious that it implies. I was accompanied all the way by the thumping strains of 'Bang Bang', sung by Nancy Sinatra.
